I've just invited my spouse to build her tree. She did it, but I can't see her tree. Then I noticed she has a different e-mail than the one I used to invite her. So I deleted my spouse from my tree, and tried to add her again, this time with her currently registered e-mail. This way I expected both trees to see each other. But when I try to add her e-mail ID, I receive the following message: Looks like we already have a member called abc@xyz.com, try something else. Thus, I can no longer add my spouse in my tree (not to mention that she is currently unhappy with this)
It sounds like you've ended up with two tree's instead of all being a part of one tree.
Do you have another email address you could use? If so, the best thing you could do would be to get your wife to invite you to her *new* tree using your new email address. Alternatively, you could invite your wife to your tree using a different email address for her.
Please note that in order for you to see your wife's tree, you need to invite her into your tree, not for her to start a new tree.

Let me know how you get on ;-) Gareth
PS: we know tree merging is something people would like, but because it's a super complex problem we're trying to get out more family friendly stuff first, like photos and a calendar
You can re-invite people using a different email address from the invitation history page, so it may be worth keeping on tree and just re-inviting the other people with rubbish addresses so they can be invited into the tree you want to keep ;-)
