The son of my stepgrandgrandfather has married the daughter of my grandgrandmother who I allready showed on three. When I add her name as spouse to him, she appears as an other person. So that the familiar connectivity doesn'nt appear. It could be a solution to give a number to every added person to the three and by adding an allready added person to an allready added to another person as spouse these numbers can be given to help not to understand the same person as a new person. Or, do you have allready a solution for this in Kindo which I don't know. Thanks,
Yup - currently we don't support marriages between existing family members. We still need to come up with a suitable solution for displaying this accurately on the family tree. We do plan on implementing it in the future though
It's nice that you are working on this. Because I'm planning to translate a huge tree I have in PAF to Kindo, but it is impossible without this feature.
Hi Stephen, I have had this problem from the begining. I wish I could invite you to represent a member of the family so that you can build the bit I am talking about.. unfortunately your e-mail address is known to the system because you already belong to some other tree. My mother's brother married my father's sister, so now I have seven cousins whom I cannot link to their mother without creating a clone.. If you need to draw a person more than once to clarify relationships that may be OK.. the duplicate drawing could be identified by means of a flashing border with a reference number etc.. Thanks
Also a problem for me. Three first cousins married three siblings from the same family. (They are my generation so they all have email addresses, etc.) But I can't show this yet.
Keep up the good work! It's a really lovely app. We hope to begin using it to store older family photos that extended family members would like access to, as well as figure out how to incorporate it into a family reunion.
